Santa's Castle

Last week for Pre-school we went on a field trip to Santa's Castle, and the Christmas village downtown! While Santa wasn't available to take us around, Mrs Santa was there and very kind to take all of our Pre-schoolers around to some of the village displays. The kids all had great time, and I only lost E once :) When we got back to the castle Mrs Santa read the kids a story, unfortunately by this point E was so tired, and COLD that he was having multiple meltdowns, and Noah felt that he had had enough time in my arms and wanted to get down and crawl around. So we held out through the story, and then managed to sit nicely on Mrs Santa's lap for a picture (I was sly and Noah didn't realize it wasn't me holding him for long enough for me to get a pic!)Then each of them were given a goody bag, and we were on our way home. Unfortunately by this point E was so cold (I remember getting that cold s a child too) that he cried all the way to the car, and almost all the way home, which also meant that Noah cried all the way to the car and most of the way home. Perhaps this isn't the year to start the Christmas tradition to go and look at the lights, at night, in the cold :)
